Worksheet for Draft Assignment of Commonly Undesirable Land Uses

As everything is not yet a 1for-1 with existing terminology, we’ve made some running notes as we were working through some things:

1. ‘Multi-family dwelling’ as a land use is listed as apartments, garden apartments, low-rise apartments, high-rise apartments, multiplex, triplex or quadplex in the municipal ordinances.
2. ‘Townhouse’ is listed as land use under the definition of ‘Single family attached dwelling’ in Hanover.
3. ‘Group Home’ is listed as land use under the definition of ‘Community Residential Facility’ in the Hanover.
4. An ordinance may have provisions for ‘Airport/Heliport’ but may not have it listed as a land use.
5. An ordinance may have provisions for ‘Billboards and signages’ but may not have it listed as a land use.
6. An ordinance may have provisions for ‘Commercial Communication Towers and Antennas’ but may not have it listed as a land use.
7. ‘Concentrated Animal Operation’ and ‘Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation respectively’ relates to ‘General agriculture’ and ‘Intensive Agriculture’ as a land use definition in East Allen.
8. ‘Concentrated Animal Operation’ and ‘Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation respectively’ relates to ‘Animal Husbandry’ as a land use definition in Hanover
9. ‘Crematory’ is listed as land use under the definition of ‘Funeral Home in East Allen and North Catasauqua.
10. ‘Landfill’ as a land use is listed as ‘Sanitary Landfill’ in Municipal Ordinances
11. ‘Lumber mill’ as a land use is listed as ‘Sawmill’ in Municipal Ordinances
12. ‘Wrecking or Dismantling of Motor Vehicles (storage of the parts and materials)’ as a land use is listed as ‘Auto Salvaging’ in Municipal Ordinances.
